What is a Swiss tournament?
Most tournaments take 2 styles, Swiss or Knock-Out.
In a Swiss tournament you play all of the rounds of the tournament.
You get paired up against someone with a similar win-loss record each round. For example, if you have won 2 matches and lost 1, then you will probably play someone else who has won 2, lost 1.
This means that you get maximum play time for your entry fee and have to play against the better players to place highly in the tournament.
In comparison, at a Knock-Out tournament you are out of the competition as soon as you lose a match - so if you face the National Champion in round 1 you are probably going home early.
New points system lets you choose your prizes. Everyone gets a prize.
